Somehow our boss still is tricking us
Into committing stupid crimes
Into breaking stupid laws
Just because we’re only human
Unable to deal with the pressure
There’s nothing left in this empty home
But broken bottles and spiders
And since the cops are chasing us

It might be a bit disappointing
But I never broke out of jail
We’ll take a plane to Canada
Or maybe just steal a car
Let’s leave all this all behind
There’s blood dripping from the bushes
Where sad old souls still hide
There’s dust hanging in the air on thread
Where broken skin still burns
Everyone I know has gone out in the storm
There’s no photo-album on the shelf
There’s no one there to take it
Let’s give this trip a funeral
To keep the yard sale up
The cheapskates all are coming down
Their opinions like second shadows
And their morality lies in shambles
Like the bodies on the floor

Yeah, I wrote this in Social Science in November 2006 just like the last one. We were having this really painful class discussion about the Great Depression, and then the stupid people broke up a bunch of issues, like World War II crematoriums, gay marriages, illegal immigration, etc.
